Originally, That Steak Joynt, was located in Piper's Alley Chicago, and was damaged in the great Chicago Fire of 1871. It was thought that the building was haunted with ghosts, and regular seances were held upstairs in one of the dining rooms. The interior of the restaurant was spectacular featuring a Carrera marble statue of a smiling peasant with a wine flask. It is said that if you stared at it too long, the peasant would come to life. Over the bear was a 300-pound German silver gas fixture which once was over a pool table in Scotland. That Steak Joynt was the last of the Victorian style houses with flocked wallpaper and oil paintings.

100% Cotton slouch. Lofted Cotton thread vintage embroidery. Wright and Ditson stamped leather closure with metal alloy embossed buckle. Heathered Linen undervisor.
